The master of horror
When you hear the name Stephen King, so nearly everyone knows who they are dealing with. The author has been able to captivate guests with many of his books and designed a wide readership. Although I enjoy reading about bloodthirsty horror stories, this book was my first but certainly Previous King novel. Why exactly death march me so much , has its experiences in my next review.

Every year hundred young people on the way to the long march. This is going to be in it until ninety-nine boy died. The last survivor has won and can do everything that he wants. Within this competition, any person may receive three warnings walkers without doing anything. However, the fourth breach of the walkers, regardless of the accompanying soldiers will be shot.
Garraty had previously only been there once in a march and as a spectator. Although his father detested this race, he had brought his young son at that time. Garraty could hardly and remember now he was himself an active participant on the way to march. His mother and his girlfriend both had tried him in tears deter his life simply throw it away. But Garraty knew he could do it. He had a well-toned body, his will was strong and it seemed too inflexible. Besides, it was too late to chicken out. The withdrawal deadline had long since passed, but he would not appear, the soldiers would come and would have taken him. Like his father ten years ago, he had not seen since then.
There were rumors that had received a few years ago a walker already right at the start line his red card. He was so afraid that his feet were frozen and after three warnings sounded the death-shot. But not this year. Garratys competition was very impressive. Since there was McVries, the boy with the huge scar on his cheek, wearing raw meat with it and an even better built body than himself had Garraty. He had been at the beginning of the quiet type but the further they went, the more open-minded and funny he was. Olson was confident and a big mouth and it was something about him that seemed sympathetic. Garraty liked him as opposed to Barkovich. Because he had incited a boy so much, this was the fatal shot from the date McVries called Barcovich only killer. He had to Barkovich heels stapled and after days of walking he had to survive the goal in mind, longer than the killer.
They had all lost a lot of weight and that a bunch of walkers have received their red card, made things any easier. Garraty had found friends who are gradually collapsed feebly on the floor or have begged for their lives. But not Scramm. He was married and his wife pregnant. Garraty had been sure that he would win he would not get that nasty pneumonia that would probably give him the rest.

It is one of the best I've ever seen on a book. The image of two feet in the skin of laces are sewn on the one hand extremely cruel, on the other hand, it fits perfectly to this story.
Conclusion
You can not learn why this march is taking place or why to apply each year for hundreds of boys. In the beginning I was the still quite interested and I've always been waiting for an explanation. But the little available options can quickly become a side issue, because although the story takes place almost exclusively fed during the walking is this so fascinating that you can not stop reading. Stephen King said so that one can imagine the agony of the boys very well and this is one of the most fascinating things in the book.
